Ep. 8 on its Side
Sipping yet another hot cup of coffee, "The" Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor sings the lyrics, "I can't remember much of anything, anymore" on the TV. Then, Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima blares. An eye rub later, and coffee consumption commences, again.
Timex has released a line of watches in the style of the early days of wrist watch making. They have that Art Deco look of the roaring '20s, mixed with the austere minimalism of the depression-era '30s. Something about that aesthetic speaks to me. That black and white world is so much crisper in the mind's eye than the present time.
I don't really get much of the current pop culture world. I don't think it gets me, either. If none of this is real, none of that matters, anyway.
