Steaming

If the water table was getting low, it ain't now.  At least, it shouldn't be.  There's certainly been enough rain for it.

It's hot.  Rain seems like it'd help, but my yard is a giant, steaming sauna.  Not helping.  That being said, maybe the rain escapes in the form of steam instead of replenishing the water table.
