Approved Reality

No matter how true or correct the point you make, if you're not constantly sucking up to the groupthink, your point will be ignored.  Yes, it's possible to play the social game... make friends and influence people, but even if you acquiesce enough of yourself to gain that psuedo-respect from the group, your truth isn't being recognized for the truth; it's just static the group is forced to recognize.  There's no logic to it.  All that has to happen is for the groupthink to drop it from its bullet-point fact sheet, and your truth will be forgotten.
