A Whole Year

A year goes by too quickly. Nothing is new, no matter what chattering nonsense spews. The longest distance seems short against a backdrop of forever.

An easy laugh is priceless when you need one. That's the kind of person who's ear you'll always know you have. Losing that is irreplaceable.

Closed-eyes momentarily relieve a little bit of the distance. You don't want to keep them closed too long or you may miss out on today. Just a few seconds here and there, though, at key times, is not only understandable, but necessary.
