Splashdown!

SpaceX made another amazing first in space exploration. The Dragon capsule "Endeavor" splashed down in the Gulf, off of the coast of Pensacola, just a few hours ago. For the first time in 45 years a manned spacecraft splashed down. It was also the first time in 9 years that an American craft has returned astronauts to Earth.

My girlfriend and I watched together, although, due to COVID, it was over the phone. She was a few seconds ahead. It was a fun experience, though in person would've been better.

I was a child the last time a capsule splashed down with astronauts on board. As a kid, I had models of all the capsule spacecraft. It was really neat seeing one come down as an adult.
