Sunday for Some

Coffee and contemplation on a Sunday morning allow the mind to safely recover cognizance after a good night's sleep. With each sip, a little more of the world is processed. Hazy eyes and thoughts are allowed to slowly clear.

Neural paths of the future and past are allowed to fire at will and create independent thought. Normally filling all the spare time in mental processing, it now has the mind's full attention. Furrows and smiles are allowed.

Today was my Mother's birthday. It was also my parents' wedding anniversary. This is the first without her being here. That's going to be tough for my Dad, but at least he has church to occupy his mind.

Solace isn't easy. Sunday sunshine makes it easier. Annoyances from the real world try to stab their way in, but let the sunshine wash them away.
