Optimistic

Youthful optimism almost completely disappears by your late 40s.  Every once in a while, though, just for a fleeting moment, the future seems promising.  Two-thirds of life most likely already passed, that last third teases it might contain a moment or two of wonder.

Then, that little back-spasm hits.  A little headache behind the eyes tries to come on.  Standing up, that right knee sharply impedes motion.
