Attention spans get shorter faster than the dollar loses value.  Information comes at you too fast.  Learning how to sort out and hold on to the important stuff in the modern toilet bowl charybdis of data is nigh on impossible.

Doing this filtering has become a requirement for survival.  Succeeding at getting rid of the trash and excrement is almost a full time job.  Failing leaves you buried in it.
