Hum and Click

Crisp, clean and processed sound with absolutely quiet silence, perfect pitch and time-corrected tempos can be gorgeous.  Too gorgeous.  There needs to be a little static.  Not artificially added static, but the kind that comes from an AM radio at 3am: genuine, entropic noise.

A pop or hiss needs to be here or there.  Noise is normal.  None seems unnatural.  Uncanny.
