The subconscious mind is observant. When something needs attention while you're currently occupied with other tasks or interests, part of your brain is recording those other events. When you've missed something, neurons fire and try to let you know.

This is when you get that nagging feeling you're missing something.

I've had that feeling all day. I know something's off. I just don't know what it could be.
