48

Another year's in the books.

Earlier this evening, while sitting on the couch watching westerns and eating fried chicken with my Dad, we talked about when he turned my age.  It didn't seem like that long ago.

He was my age when my parents celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.  Oddly enough, I feel like I'm older than my Dad was when he was my age, even though he was married with three kids.  He wouldn't start his own business for another three years.  I can't even imagine trying to start a business in my 50s.

I took the day off from work.  Old folks my age need a day, here and there.  I didn't move from the couch until getting cleaned up to get food.

The world has changed a lot.  Seems like it's changed exponentially quicker.  We'll see how much it changes this coming year.
