Random End of the Year Considerations #5150

There's only one hand to play; it's the one you've been dealt.  Sometimes the cards don't line up.  Sometimes they do.  

What you are is what has never been before and never will be again.  For better or for worse, that's how it is.  Make the best of it.

This year is an old man, now.  He's been made ineffectual.  It seems his time has run out.  Barring some last minute reprieve, the New Year's baby holds all the promise.
