Two Nights of Sweets

Kids get two Halloweens this year.  When I was a kid, we were lucky to get one.  If Halloween was on a Sunday, it didn't happen.  Also, Wednesday nights were questionable.  Forget two nights. 

Then, there was the whole Satanic Panic thing that made religious people all but disavow Halloween.  Halloween events were converted to 'Fall Festivals', or cancelled, altogether.  Dressing up as scary monsters, witches, etc., started to seem a little demonic. 

The candy stream dried up.  

Two days will bring in a lot of candy.  I'm not saying they shouldn't.  I'm happy for kids, today.  Eat a piece of candy for me.
