ID'd

20 years ago, right after 9-11, the place where I work began requiring workers to carry a photo ID issued by the plant.  You didn't wear it like modern IDs, but just kept it in your wallet.  I was 27 at the time, and had already been working there for a few years.  Later, they began using far more complicated IDs that would work with card readers, etc...

Digging through an old wallet, I came across this ID from back then.  It's dated 9-20-01, so it's likely one of the first they ever issued.  Seems like not all that long ago, but more than two decades have passed.  Everyone thinks of wearing photo identification at work as a normal part of life, but prior to 9-11, it was pretty abnormal.
