Dealing

Never having a lot can inspire hatred for goals that aren't achievable.  "Hating", it's called.  Instead of trying to change the situation to allow for obtaining something, just hate it.

Knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that you can never reach a goal, it should be understandable, if just for mental health reasons, to find it's negative aspects.  If it's always out of reach, why keep reaching?  The cost will always outweigh the benefit of obtaining nothing.

Just make sure that the variables won't change, and that the unlikely has no chance of becoming the inevitable.  When hatred for the unobtainable is complete, it very well might present itself within easy reach.  Then, all the mental games to protect from the impossible might be the cause for some serious pain.
