Shine On

Stars, burned out millennia ago, send ghosts of light traveling through the galaxy to our eyes. That's the opposite of what the Eagles said; you can see the light, but still, you're not seeing the stars. In a way, you're seeing the shadows of the stars.

When two substances meet, if they react, it transforms both. Massive reactions take place inside stars. Elements are created. Repercussions at the subatomic level blast through the DNA of every living thing.

More reactions occur. In a microcosmic music inaudible to human ears, these particles, from the spectral shadows of stars, carved out the genome that is you. Thank God.
