Mercator Projection

The Mercator projection is the world map most familiar to us. However, as you may know, it isn't scaled evenly. This Mercator Puzzle shows just how skewed the projection is:



Yes, that is Australia covering Canada, Brazil covering the US, and Mauritania covering Alaska. I put South Africa up in the Arctic and Greenland down in Brazil to show their relative sizes as well.
