Know the Law
There are 44 cities in the state of Alabama with published municipal codes, free for all to view. Selma isn't one of them. If you would like a copy of the Selma Code, one is available from the Municipal Code Corporation for $338.86. A .PDF version is also available for download at a cost of $288.03. If you have the time, a worn, dog-eared leatherette copy of the Selma Municipal Code is kept at the Selma/Dallas County Public Library. Library hours are typically 9am to 5pm, Monday-Saturday.
