Question

If it weren't for the need to feed and mate, would all animals be friends?

No, animals would become jealous over another's bigger spots, longer neck, bushier tail or nicer house. Simply cause the animal wants it. Just greed.

But don't we/they use those things to get mates? If we threw out the mating, would those things impress us so much?

I dont know..do my bigger spots get me a prefered mate over another's spots? lol

hmmm I still dont think all animals would be friends if there were no feeding and no mating. We animals use our own housing grounds to sleep in too. Personal comfort. That might fit in. Whose got the best sheets..lol or place away from the elements.

Hmmm... so we'd need to take away the need for shelter, too.

If animals reproduced autonomously, produced their own fuel without a need to feed, and were born with built-in shelter, do you think animals would fight?

I see a big flaw with my question, now. There's no way it can be tested. Animals have to feed. Animals have to mate. Animals have to find shelter.

If animals reproduced by themselves, produced their own food and were born with built in shelter...hmmm Yeah i think animals would fight,,,due to their mood swings. They would ALL have PMS. Males included. Whooa! Testorone and PMS in one body. lol What about a window to test it in a zoo with a small group that provided only one mate for them, their food and shelter? Hormone shots or hormone removal too. Maybe we would all be friendly then.
