John Doe

Remember those old clay heads they made to identify the occasional skeleton found on the side of the road? They've shown on television how they make 'em by building up the clay on the rotting skull to where they think the natural facial muscles would've been. The end product is a grayish humanoid face that looks like a happy zombie. Freaky.

Anyway, if you like that sort of thing, or feel like becoming a part-time CSI, this is the place for you.

It's the 'DoeNetwork' website. Apparently, there were some killers (serial and otherwise) who got away with it. What's even more scary than these pictures is the fact that there are SO MANY of them, and that's probably just a drop in the bucket. I think one of the criteria of being on this site is that the case is cold, so more recent Jane and John Does aren't even listed.

Sad, scary and just plain weird.
