I'm OLD

I can't believe I just turned 30. I feel like I should still be a teenager. Yeah, I have a house, now, and have held a full-time job going on 8 years, but I don't feel like a 30 year old. I never thought I'd live to see 30.

I took a week-long vacation to the beach to ease the pain. It didn't help. I turned old Wednesday, and I'll never be young again. *sigh*

There were so many things I wanted to do before I turned 30, I wanted to be rich before I turned 30. I wanted to have travelled the world before 30. Instead, I'm not even comfortably wealthy. Heck, I blew a big chunk of my money down at the beach.

ENOUGH! I'm not going to let it get me down just because I didn't meet some superficial goals. There are plenty of things I intended to do AFTER I turned 30. I've never intended to be married before 30. I still don't think I'm ready for that, though. The single life is pretty good. I'm looking for things to get better from here on out. I've still got the middle-age thing to work on.
