What It's All About
A significant amount of off time in the last few years has been devoted to cutting up storm-downed trees with a chainsaw. The result has been firewood for a fireplace I don't have and thankfulness that I don't have to run one of those things every day for a living. I'm sure you'd get used to it, but I'm always sore the day after.
The rain has provided a needed respite, providing a few days of rest here and there. That gives me time to get some things done in the house. Time, however, that has largely been spent riding the couch with my eyes closed.
That's good, too, though. Taking your time and being lazy when you want. That's what vacation is about.
