All the Faces
The occasional thought that everyone now puts on a different face for various situations creeps me out. Bureaucrats wear this immediately alterable face. Everyone now believes this is normal.
When I grew up, that was called being "two-faced". Everyone has those situations, from time to time, where perspective forces the false impression that they're on two sides of the same issue, or on neither. That's not what I mean. This isn't tact. I'm talking about how someone can have a different opinion on the same subject in as many different crowds. It's disturbing.
