All the Faces

The occasional thought that everyone now puts on a different face for various situations creeps me out.  Bureaucrats wear this immediately alterable face.  Everyone now believes this is normal.

When I grew up, that was called being "two-faced".  Everyone has those situations, from time to time, where perspective forces the false impression that they're on two sides of the same issue, or on neither.  That's not what I mean.  This isn't tact.  I'm talking about how someone can have a different opinion on the same subject in as many different crowds.  It's disturbing.
