Sleep Signaling

A mental fax machine is beeping away, trying to get a reply. When the hour gets late enough, there's never an answer. Hash of noise and grinding sounds say Monday is over.

Carrier signals send time keeping tones at regular intervals. Atomic clock voices drone words from the past and create new dialogue, foretelling slumber. Eyelids drop like sunset.

Today says tonight is here. Check the printout in the morning. Yawn on.
