Trash Trip
I drove by Memorial Stadium, today, on the way to take my garbage to the dump. The parking lot was full of ambulances and fire trucks. As I drove by, my radio told me what was going on; it was a drive-in funeral for someone in public safety.
On the way home, I noticed a small group of Asians posing and taking pictures in front of the 'Castlewood' sign, like it was the Hollywood sign, or something. Pumping gas, I saw a huge black man walk by wearing an Adventure Time surgical mask. Meanwhile, country club members were playing golf and packing the tennis courts with young, white women wearing short skirts and no masks.
There were more out-of-state tags on the road than locals. Drive-in funerals and tourists... Oblivious money... Life can be surreal.
