Planning for the future is good. Spending too much time contemplating the future may not be so good. After all, there's only a relatively short period of the future available for most.

Space is vast. More expansive than human comprehension, the estimated limit of space can barely be communicated. Only a tiny, statistically zero, amount of it belongs to the life of one person.

In that space resides all of human memory. All of the plans ever made, good, bad and ugly, exist only there. Think about that and you might lose the will to plan for the future.
