Scalable Access

We live in a world where you can think of a song and play it within seconds. The tablet in my hand holds access to even the most obscure items. If it was ever published, it probably exists online.

It apparently takes very little effort, and an even lower level of sophistication, to get whatever you want. Part of the enjoyment used to be the rarity and difficulty of acquisition. Now, it seems like even Francis from Pee Wee's Big Adventure could have access. Kinda cheapens the experience.

Maybe, though, the knowledge of this lack of sophistication can edify others. Through seeing how chintzy this level of access can make it seem, maybe others will take their music to the next level. What that level might be is an unknown, but there may be something to inspire a little hope.
