Obsequies for Excess
Finding new places to put things can be difficult. Leaving them where you found them isn't always an option. You can't just leave things hanging around; they'll start to pile up. You've got to dig around and make a place for them.
These issues are the kind that make minimalism seem pretty attractive. I've always been a bit utilitarian, but, as a younger man, I'd see things I wanted and just take them, with no regard for dealing with what happens later. I still like to have things for purely aesthetic reasons. A little minimalism might not be a bad idea.
Yeah, it might be time to clean house. Not in the Clorox and Ajax way, obviously. I just need a little help allowing myself to dispose of things I don't really need in my life.
