I'm sick. And not just in the head. I've had this awful chest congestion for the last 3 or 4 days. It's a constant wheeze accompanied by a stuffed up, runny nose. I went by my parents house the other night, and my mom said it was pneumonia. It started Sunday morning when I woke up. I grilled steaks Saturday night, and the temperature dropped quickly. I was wearing a 'wife-beater' and should've put on a jacket or at least a long-sleeved shirt. Oh well, I'm paying for it now.

I haven't updated in a few weeks, so I guess I'll bring this thing up to date with a few recent events. I put in for a promotion the other day. I've been working at my current job for almost 8 years now. I've been promoted 2 or 3 times, but I've never put in for a supervisory job. The reason being I didn't think I was ready for the extra pressure of being responsible for the actions of other people. Now I was ready, I thought, and put in for a management job. Guess what? They went and gave it to someone I thought was utterly incapable. Of course, he has been with the company a couple of years longer than I have. I was more qualified, but, hey, that's life.

I had another bonfire for New Years. We shot fireworks into the wee hours and I fired my shotgun five times to signify the beginning of 2005. A friend and I threw molotov cocktails into the fire for a nice explosive effect. Nothing like glass shards to get your blood pumping. Then we passed out.
