Reasons

Reality can make you feel crazy.  Fiction has the potential to seem normal by comparison.  Most stories have plots and story lines.  Reality can seem so random.

Maybe my fundamentalist upbringing programmed it in me, but I have an innate sense of fate.  Free will exists, but there will always be reason.  That may not be true, but that's how my brain is wired.

No matter how wild events get, my brain finds a pattern.  There will be a thread tying it all together.  Nothing happens without reason.
