Lit Up

Johnny B was a character on Misfits of Science, a TV show that aired when I was in Junior High.  All of the characters had some sort of supernatural abilities.  Johnny B's skill was generating electricity in the form of a giant lightning bolt which he fired from his clasped hands.

Certainly, that kind of thing isn't possible, but the human body does generate electricity.  They say it's not really enough to feel.  I don't know about that though.  No, you can't generate lightning bolts, but you do have impulses firing down your nervous system that can feel like it.

When something unexpected happens, you say you're "shocked".  When you experience something overwhelming to your system, you're "stunned".  There can be a visceral sensation of having an actual electrical current running through your body.

I know this.
