Tonal Triggers

Making music by bending wire on wood imposes something visceral.  Hearing the clicks and taps of human hands on an instrument forces the listener's nervous system to trigger other parts of the brain related to physical sensations.  Sounds from stringed instruments inexorably connect to reality.
