Lots of Folks Going Somewhere Fast

Is there more traffic on the road?  Maybe it has something to do with the amount of daylight earlier in the morning and evening.  There just seem to be more vehicles moving.

They all seem to be going faster, as well.  Yes, the speed limit was 55 way back when, and, no, that's not what's being compared.  It truly seems like the average speed of overtaking vehicles is 75mph on Highway 80.  

What's with the big rush?  Why so many rushing?  Is this just a false perception?
