Give Freedom a Chance

Everything with the potential for good gets perverted.  Those things can't be abandoned just because the potential for abuse exists.  Automobiles weren't abandoned, even though they were used to run people over or as getaway vehicles for robbery.  Airplanes weren't abandoned, even though some of the first uses for them were dropping bombs.

I know I keep saying that freedom is really a relatively new concept.  It's true, though.  Even though there are some very disappointing abuses of freedom, the potential for good is so much greater.

Tyrants purposely abuse things with a potential for good.  Especially if those things could potentially pose a threat to their assumed authority.  Don't be misled.  Don't let the potential for good be outweighed by misuse and propaganda.
