Checking it Twice

I'm looking at a cardboard cutout of Saint Nick reading his list.  

It's cold outside.  

A Youtube video plays on the TV.

I'm not really watching it.

I know it's there, though.  

As that was typed, my phone buzzed, indicating a full charge.  

I'm thinking of the really cool music from the early '90s alternative scene...  When making fun of pretentiousness hadn't yet become pretentious.  We'd realize it had been all along, before long.
