Sweet Milk

Sitting on a vinyl couch, watching cartoons on a CRT TV, 1976 doesn't know that 2020 will ever exist. Cereal turns milk into a sweet nectar. Realizing that it will all be gone soon, a tiny mouth sips slowly.

The show ends, and shag carpet flattens to the quick patter of feet on a mission. Clonk, clonk, clonk... the channel changes as little fingers gripping a plastic and metal knob twist. Another cartoon begins.

Milk always has an expiration date. Blink and it's gone. Blink again, and all you're left with is a fading white dot.
