Rules for Rules and Other Nonsense

Motivations are staggeringly diverse, astronomically numerous and seem to be tied to no imaginable logic. Don't tell me what can or can't be said or written when and where, because it probably already has been. Rules for all of this nonsense make just about as much sense as it doesn't.
