et tu Fox News?

I anxiously flipped over to Fox News over the weekend, hoping the results from the Iowa straw poll would be in, or to at least see how Ron Paul was doing. First, they announced the top 3, Romney, Huckabee and Brownback. They mentioned Tancredo came in 4th. Then, to my utter amazement, they continued down the line from 6th to 10th, not even mentioning if Ron Paul had even received a single vote. Surely he had to be in the top ten, I thought.

So I went online. Turns out he came in 5th with 9% of the vote. Why did Fox News omit that? Why did they skip his name when running down the candidates? They were quick to mention that Guiliani, McCain and F. Thompson hadn't spent a lot of money on the venue to explain why they only received a COMBINED TOTAL of only 3.4% of the vote. (Guiliani 1.3, McCain 0.7, F.Thompson 1.4) The whole time I was watching, they NEVER MENTIONED that Ron Paul received 9% of the vote, WAY higher than the 2% many were predicting he'd get.
