Eerie Lonliness

JF and I rode around last night, lookin' for weird places again. We found a really good one; a place that looks as if it was lifted from a horror movie. It's an abandoned pool that's at least 100 yards from the nearest house. And it's way out in the country. The pool water is black. The way we found it was odd, too. We noticed a driveway that appeared to have a light coming from the end of it. We turned down the driveway and proceeded until we came to a pool. No house, just a little shed to the side. We got out of the vehicle and walked up to the pool. We heard some noise in the bushes nearby that spooked us into getting back into the truck and leaving. A light in the house 100 yards away came on right as we got into the truck. It gave us an eerie feeling.

I've been girlfriend-free for right at 3 weeks now. I'd forgotten how it feels to not have a girlfriend after being in a relationship for a year. It's very liberating, but at the same time, it's a little strange not having someone around. I'm glad I did it; it was for the best, but the lonliness has kicked in a little. It'll take me a few months to get myself back into the position where I'll want a girlfriend, though.
