Monsooning

Outside, rain currently drums the ground.  Again. 

Monsoon season is apparently here.  Well, it's been here.  For weeks.

I don't remember the last day it didn't rain.  Everything is waterlogged.  Anything green stoops over from the weight of water.

More rain has fallen here, at my house, than any summer in recent memory.  Only tropical storms or hurricanes brought more rain... and those were over in a matter of hours, days at the most.    

At least the water table is being replenished.  It'd probably be possible to dig a pretty shallow well, right now.  Even high spots are holding water.
