Summer Shower
Summer's near. A surprise gully-washer dumped buckets, earlier. Almost as quickly, it was gone.
The sun was out. Then, just as I was about to stop for food, large drops of rain began to hit the windshield. Walking into the restaurant, a few of them spattered about, without making contact.
As I ate, someone stated that it was pouring outside. Glancing through the window just behind me, a Biblical torrent was attempting to clean every speck of dirt off of the parking lot. By the time I finished eating, it was gone. Steam was rising, slowly, from the blacktop as I walked out.
