Winter Inside

So much rain keeps falling.  It's been a long time since a summer has been so wet.  Water stands everywhere.

Moisture finds a way into everything.  Heat turns it into steam.  The world becomes a sauna.

On the wall, though, a thermostat hangs, displaying a temperature in the 60s.  Windows fog, gray with condensation.  Inside is chilly, comfortable and dry.
