10 Days and LP Exhaustion

I went to the LP Supper club meeting last night. It got off to a rough start. Kevin Andrews (no relation), the guy who hosts it, had to work double shifts that day/night before, and was totally exhausted. When we got to his place, no one came to the door. We rang the doorbell, knocked on the door. Yelled...

Finally, we got him on the phone. He sounded totally out of it. He had come home, gotten everything ready, and called us to make sure we were coming before falling asleep on the couch. We almost left, out of sheer compassion for him, and wanting to let him get some rest. He wouldn't hear of it. We had a decent conversation once in a while, but Kevin was dog tired. I'd like to see a Dem or a GOP'r that would be willing to do that for his principles. Most of them aren't even willing to work real jobs, choosing, rather, to sponge off of donations and the government's illegal campaign dole.

He broke out the Maker's Mark, though, and soon we were all feeling pretty good.

The steaks were awesome. A little tartar for my taste, but I can appreciate a good cut of meat, no matter how it's cooked. We had twice baked potatos, mangos, and these chocolate torts that were extremely moist and flavorful. If you weren't there, you missed out on some good food, and interesting conversation.

Jamie and Kevin were both smoking those rich smelling Marlboro Reds. Gah!
