Google Trends

I typed in 'Ron Paul' and the 2 front runners from the Dem and GOP into Google Trends. Result? Ron Paul has the highest search trend! What makes that even more cool is the fact that he has the lowest news references (see bottom line on graph). All of them are mentioned in the news more than he is, yet he has the most people searching for info on him!

* I used first and last names because last names are too generalized. When I used only last names, 'Paul' as a search term was so high on the chart, it made the other's lines look like they were barely above zero!

Erased From the Face of the Earth

What's up with Google Maps? I noticed that almost all the zoomed satellite photos were 'not available', today. I checked some I KNOW were there in the past. They were gone, too.

I was going to blog today about the air traffic at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport when I was there a couple of weeks ago. I was intending to reference a pic that shows 4 planes taking off at once that Google had cached on it's maps, but almost all the zoomed images were gone today, including that one.

I'm curious. Where did they go, and why?

Googled

If you haven't noticed, or if you're new to my blog, it has been 'Googled'. I used to have a search form on the side of the blog that utilized Google to search my blog. It has been (forcibly) moved to the top, and the 'I Power Blogger' icon that was on the side is now a 'B' at the top. Happy New Year to me.

I figured, since they were changing my blog without my consent, I might as well sign up to let 'em put ads on here as well. There's a remote chance I could make some money off of it, so why not?

To be honest, I do like some of the new features. There's a new 'label' feature, and the search feature works a lot better, now. I just don't like the bar at the top. I wish it could be on the side, like I had it.
