Character Traits

Sittin' here at work on the annual plant outage, trying to fight boredom and sleep, trying not to think about how much I hate being here on a Saturday, I got to thinking about character traits I like in people, and those I don't like. I decided to make a list of a few traits.

Things I like in people:
First off, I like honesty in a person. I don't think I can be much of a friend to someone who isn't honest. Secondly, I like someone who's faithful. The kind of person that will help you out, if they can. This is the trait of a person who doesn't forget who their friends are. The next one would be humility. I've talked about this on a previous blog, so I won't go into it.

I like playful people, too. It's cool to be around someone who doesn't take EVERYTHING seriously. Gettin' joked on every once in a while is cool, too. A healthy sense of humor is also a good trait. This is kind of being playful, but people with a good sense of humor can take accidental insults and roll with it. Intellect is nice to have, but you rarely find it in someone with the above traits. lol.

Things I don't like in people:

Deceit. I can't stand deceitfulness. I've quit talking to more people because they were trying to get something over on me than any other reason. I don't like users, either. The people who are really nice to you for a short period of time, just long enough to get something from you. When they've gotten what they want, you drop off of the radar until they need you again.

I don't like the salesman character traits, either. When a person talks something up, and really has no idea what they are talking about. They just want to sell you something, or convince you of something. I don't waste time arguing, or talking, with them. I don't really care for people who are driven, either. Especially when they're driven by something stupid, or something I perceive as stupid. lol.

There are a lot of character traits, but I'm bored with this, now, and I'm going to post it.
